The most intriguing news about the intermittent signals from outer space received by the “Big Ear” radio frequency telescope dish in Ohio in 1978 from unknown sources, coded 6EQUJ5 and named WOW. It was calculated that it was possibly from the direction of the constellation Sagittarius. The idea of the unknown has been my motivation and inspiration behind this artwork. Numbers, media, and technologies have more significance now than ever. La Senal (the Spanish word for signal) is incorporated in the typography.
This is a mixed media work in acrylic, paper, ink, and collage typography, with a heavy medium on the top surface as protection.
The artwork is framed, the final size is 38"x 30", in a black metal frame and white mat. The original size is 32" x 24" under the plexiglass, framed in matt and metal frame, with the signature on the back of the painting.
Provided with Certificate of Authenticity, wired and ready to hang.
